TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last Updated: August 8, 2026

Welcome to Meraki Skin Clinic.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, online booking services, consultations, treatments, products, packages, promotions, and other services offered by Meraki Skin Clinic.

By accessing our website, booking an appointment, purchasing a treatment or product, completing a consultation, or receiving services from Meraki Skin Clinic, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Please read them carefully before booking or receiving treatment.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit any rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable Canadian or Ontario law.

1. ABOUT MERAKI SKIN CLINIC

Meraki Skin Clinic provides medical aesthetic, cosmetic, skincare, and related services.

Treatments offered may change from time to time based on provider availability, technology, products, equipment, professional scope of practice, safety considerations, and clinic operations.

Certain services may be provided by or under the direction of appropriately qualified healthcare professionals where required.

The availability of a treatment on our website or booking system does not mean that the treatment is appropriate for every individual.

2. WEBSITE INFORMATION

Information provided on the Meraki Skin Clinic website, social media pages, emails, advertisements, educational materials, and other communications is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

It is not intended to replace an individualized consultation, medical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Information about treatments, expected results, recovery periods, discomfort, side effects, and treatment timelines represents general information only.

Every individual responds differently to treatment.

3. CONSULTATIONS

Consultations at Meraki Skin Clinic are complimentary unless otherwise stated.

A consultation allows our provider to:

  • Discuss your concerns and treatment goals

  • Review relevant medical or treatment history

  • Assess the treatment area

  • Determine whether a treatment may be appropriate

  • Discuss possible treatment options

  • Explain anticipated benefits, risks, side effects, and downtime

  • Develop an individualized treatment plan where appropriate

A consultation does not guarantee that treatment will be performed.

Our providers reserve the right to decline, postpone, modify, or discontinue a treatment when they believe it may not be appropriate, safe, medically advisable, or within the provider's scope of practice.

Where appropriate, you may be advised to consult another healthcare professional before proceeding.

4. SAME-DAY TREATMENT

Where appropriate, certain consultations and treatments may be completed during the same appointment.

Same-day treatment is subject to:

  • Provider assessment

  • Treatment suitability

  • Medical history

  • Contraindications

  • Informed consent

  • Appointment availability

  • Treatment complexity

  • Required preparation

  • Provider discretion

Booking a consultation does not guarantee that treatment can or will be performed on the same day.

5. BOOKING DEPOSIT

A $50 + HST booking deposit is required to secure an appointment unless otherwise stated.

The deposit is not an additional treatment fee. If you proceed with treatment, the deposit will be applied toward the cost of your treatment.

If you attend your consultation and decide not to proceed with treatment, your deposit may be:

  • Refunded upon request, or

  • Applied as a credit toward a future appointment

Deposits are subject to the cancellation and no-show provisions outlined below.

6. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

We understand that schedules can change.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact Meraki Skin Clinic as far in advance as reasonably possible.

When appropriate notice is provided, your booking deposit may be transferred to your rescheduled appointment.

Repeated last-minute cancellations or rescheduling may result in additional booking requirements or restrictions on future appointments.

Meraki Skin Clinic reserves the right to modify its cancellation policy for certain appointments, treatments, events, promotions, or providers. Any different cancellation conditions will be communicated before booking where applicable.

7. NO-SHOW POLICY

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notifying the clinic will be considered a no-show.

No-shows will result in the loss of the booking deposit.

A new deposit may be required before another appointment can be scheduled.

Repeated no-shows may result in Meraki Skin Clinic declining future bookings.

8. LATE ARRIVALS

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

If you arrive late, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate you. However, depending on the treatment and the provider's schedule, we may need to:

  • Shorten the appointment where clinically appropriate

  • Modify the scheduled service

  • Reschedule the appointment

We will not compromise treatment safety or quality in order to accommodate a late arrival.

Significantly late arrivals may be treated as a late cancellation if there is insufficient time to safely perform the scheduled treatment.

9. APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATIONS AND REMINDERS

Appointment confirmations and reminders may be sent by email, telephone, text message, or through our booking platform.

These reminders are provided as a courtesy.

You remain responsible for remembering your scheduled appointment even if you do not receive an automated reminder.

Please ensure that the contact information provided to Meraki Skin Clinic is accurate and current.

10. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

For your safety, you are responsible for providing complete and accurate information during your consultation and before treatment.

This may include information regarding:

  • Medical conditions

  • Allergies and sensitivities

  • Medications

  • Supplements

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Previous aesthetic treatments

  • Previous surgeries or medical procedures

  • History of cold sores

  • Skin conditions

  • Active infections

  • Recent illnesses

  • Previous treatment reactions

  • Relevant lifestyle factors

  • Changes to your health since your previous appointment

You must notify your provider if any relevant health information changes before receiving treatment.

Failure to disclose relevant information may affect your treatment results or increase the risk of complications.

11. INFORMED CONSENT

Certain procedures require you to review and sign a treatment-specific consent form before receiving treatment.

The consent process may include information regarding:

  • Treatment purpose

  • Expected benefits

  • Common side effects

  • Potential risks and complications

  • Alternatives

  • Recovery and downtime

  • Pre-treatment instructions

  • Aftercare requirements

You are encouraged to ask questions before providing consent.

Signing a consent form does not guarantee a particular result.

You may withdraw consent before a treatment begins. Once a procedure has started, stopping treatment may not always be medically or practically appropriate depending on the procedure and circumstances.

12. TREATMENT ELIGIBILITY

Not every treatment is appropriate for every person.

Treatment eligibility may depend on factors including:

  • Medical history

  • Current health

  • Medications

  • Allergies

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Skin condition

  • Treatment area

  • Previous procedures

  • Recent sun exposure

  • Active infection or inflammation

  • Treatment expectations

  • Other clinical considerations

Meraki Skin Clinic and its providers reserve the right to decline or postpone treatment when doing so is considered appropriate for client safety or treatment quality.

13. TREATMENT RESULTS

Aesthetic medicine and skincare treatments cannot guarantee a specific result.

Results vary from person to person and may depend on factors including:

  • Individual anatomy

  • Age

  • Skin type

  • Skin condition

  • Lifestyle

  • Metabolism

  • Genetics

  • Treatment history

  • Medical conditions

  • Medications

  • Healing response

  • Sun exposure

  • Adherence to pre-care and aftercare instructions

  • Number and frequency of treatments

Examples of treatment outcomes displayed on our website, social media, advertisements, or educational materials are illustrative only.

Before-and-after images represent individual outcomes and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that you will experience the same or similar result.

Some treatments require multiple sessions or ongoing maintenance to achieve or maintain the desired outcome.

14. RISKS, SIDE EFFECTS, AND COMPLICATIONS

All aesthetic and medical aesthetic procedures involve some degree of risk.

Depending on the treatment, temporary effects may include:

  • Redness

  • Swelling

  • Tenderness

  • Bruising

  • Dryness

  • Flaking

  • Sensitivity

  • Mild discomfort

  • Changes in skin texture

  • Temporary changes in pigmentation

Less common or more serious complications may also occur depending on the treatment.

Treatment-specific risks will be discussed as appropriate during the consultation and consent process.

Receiving an aesthetic treatment means accepting that complications can occur even when treatment is performed appropriately.

15. PRE-TREATMENT AND AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Clients are responsible for reviewing and following all pre-treatment and aftercare instructions provided by Meraki Skin Clinic.

Following these instructions may be important for treatment safety, healing, and results.

If you are unsure about any instructions, contact the clinic for clarification.

Failure to follow recommended pre-care or aftercare may:

  • Affect treatment results

  • Increase downtime

  • Increase the likelihood of irritation or complications

  • Affect whether additional corrective treatment is appropriate

16. TREATMENT CONCERNS AND FOLLOW-UP

If you experience an unexpected reaction or have concerns following treatment, contact Meraki Skin Clinic as soon as possible.

We may request photographs, additional information, or an in-person follow-up appointment so the treatment area can be appropriately assessed.

Please do not attempt to diagnose or manage a potentially serious treatment complication solely through social media, online comments, or general website information.

Meraki Skin Clinic is not an emergency medical facility.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, seek immediate medical attention.

17. PRICING

Treatment prices displayed online represent current or starting prices unless otherwise stated.

Final treatment pricing may depend on factors including:

  • Treatment type

  • Treatment area

  • Amount of product required

  • Number of lesions

  • Size of the treatment area

  • Complexity of treatment

  • Number of sessions

  • Individual treatment plan

  • Provider assessment

Where a treatment is listed as "starting at" a particular price, the final price may be higher depending on the treatment required.

When an individualized assessment is necessary, final pricing will be discussed with you before treatment.

Prices are subject to change.

Applicable taxes will be added where required.

18. PAYMENT

Payment is due at the time services are provided unless another payment arrangement has been agreed to in advance.

Accepted payment methods may vary.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that their payment method is authorized and has sufficient funds available.

Meraki Skin Clinic may decline treatment when outstanding balances remain unpaid.

19. REFUNDS FOR COMPLETED TREATMENTS

Aesthetic treatments involve professional time, products, supplies, equipment, and services that cannot generally be returned once provided.

As a result, completed treatments are generally not refundable simply because a client:

  • Changes their mind

  • Does not achieve their preferred outcome

  • Experiences normal or disclosed temporary side effects

  • Requires additional sessions

  • Has individual variation in treatment response

This does not limit any rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.

If you have a concern regarding a treatment you received, please contact Meraki Skin Clinic so the concern can be reviewed appropriately.

20. PRODUCTS

Skincare products and other retail items may be subject to separate return or exchange conditions.

For health, safety, and hygiene reasons, opened or used products may not be eligible for return unless defective or otherwise required by law.

Product suitability varies by individual.

Clients are responsible for reviewing ingredient information and informing their provider of known allergies or sensitivities.

Discontinue use and contact an appropriate healthcare professional if you believe you are experiencing a significant adverse reaction.

21. TREATMENT PACKAGES

Meraki Skin Clinic may offer prepaid treatment packages from time to time.

Package pricing may be offered on the basis that multiple treatments are purchased together.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase:

  • Packages are intended for the individual who purchased or received them

  • Packages cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions

  • Treatment eligibility must still be assessed before every session

  • Purchasing a package does not guarantee continued eligibility for treatment

  • Appointment availability is not guaranteed for a specific date or provider

If a treatment becomes medically inappropriate after a package has been purchased, contact Meraki Skin Clinic so the remaining balance can be reviewed.

Any package-specific terms provided at the time of purchase also apply.

22. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNTS

Promotions, special offers, discount codes, giveaways, and promotional pricing may be subject to additional conditions.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotions cannot be combined

  • Promotions have no cash value

  • Promotions apply only during the advertised promotional period

  • Promotions may apply only to selected treatments or providers

  • Promotional pricing cannot be retroactively applied to previous purchases

  • Availability may be limited

Meraki Skin Clinic reserves the right to correct genuine errors in promotional materials, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

23. GIFT CARDS AND CREDITS

Gift cards, clinic credits, promotional credits, and account balances may be subject to conditions communicated at the time they are issued.

Any expiration date or restriction will be applied only where permitted by applicable law.

Gift cards and credits cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.

Lost, transferred, stolen, or improperly used gift cards or credits may be subject to verification before replacement or redemption.

24. PHOTOGRAPHY AND CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION

Before-and-after photographs may be taken for clinical documentation, treatment planning, monitoring, or assessment where appropriate.

Clinical photographs are treated as part of your confidential treatment information when collected for those purposes.

Your identifiable photographs or videos will not be used for advertising, social media, website content, promotional materials, or other public-facing marketing purposes without appropriate consent.

Consent to marketing photography is separate from consent to receive treatment.

You may decline marketing photography without affecting your ability to receive treatment.

Additional information regarding the handling of personal information and photographs is available in our Privacy Policy.

25. SOCIAL MEDIA AND TESTIMONIALS

Meraki Skin Clinic may share educational content, testimonials, reviews, treatment information, and client results through social media or other marketing channels where appropriate.

Individual treatment outcomes vary.

Testimonials reflect the experience of the individual providing the testimonial and do not guarantee that another person will have the same experience or result.

We ask clients not to include confidential medical information in public social media comments or reviews.

Treatment-specific concerns should be communicated directly to the clinic so they can be assessed appropriately.

26. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Where permitted and where appropriate consent has been obtained, Meraki Skin Clinic may send promotional communications regarding treatments, clinic news, promotions, events, or special offers.

You may unsubscribe from promotional electronic communications using the unsubscribe option provided or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from promotional communications does not prevent Meraki Skin Clinic from contacting you regarding:

  • Existing appointments

  • Treatment follow-ups

  • Payment matters

  • Safety information

  • Requested information

  • Other necessary service-related communications
