MELASMA & PIGMENTATION PEEL PROGRAM

Finally, a solution that works.

Our Melasma & Pigmentation Peel Program is a structured, medical-grade protocol — not a one-off treatment. It starts with a consultation, builds a foundation with prescription-grade homecare, and culminates in professional peels that target stubborn pigmentation at the source.

*Consultation required before your first peel.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR SKIN

Melasma vs. Hyperpigmentation

Both conditions cause dark patches on the skin — but they're not the same thing. Here's what you need to know.

Melasma

Symmetrical brown or grey-brown patches — most often on the cheeks, forehead, nose, and upper lip. It's triggered by hormonal changes (pregnancy, birth control) and worsened by sun exposure. Very common in women with medium to deeper skin tones.

Symmetrical

Hormonal

Sun-Triggered

Hyperpigmentation

A broader term for any area of skin that's darker than the surrounding tone. It includes post-acne dark marks, sun spots, and uneven skin tone. Can appear anywhere on the face or body.

Post-Acne Marks

Sun Damage

Uneven Tone

Both respond to the same program. Whether you're dealing with melasma or general hyperpigmentation, Meraki’s Pigmentation Peel Program is clinically designed to address them — safely, even on sensitive and deeper skin tones.

THE PROGRAM

What to Expect, Start to Finish

This isn't a single appointment — it's a structured program designed to give your skin the best possible results over roughly one year.

01

Consultation & Skin Assessment

Your starting point

Before anything else, we need to see you in person. During this appointment, your skincare specialist will assess your skin type, the extent of your pigmentation, your medical history, and whether you're the right candidate for this program. This step is required — the peels cannot be done without it.

  • Skin analysis under professional lighting

  • Review of medical history and contraindications

  • Personalized program recommendation

  • Your homecare kit is prescribed

02

Homecare Phase

Prep is everything

Once prescribed, you'll begin using the provided Day and Night products at home. This phase sensitizes your skin to the active depigmenting ingredients and primes it for the peels. Skipping this step means the peel won't deliver full results.

  • Day serum — lightens pigment + sun protection

  • Night cream — deepens depigmentation overnight

  • Used daily for a minimum of one week before first peel

  • Continued between and after peels

03

Professional Grade Peels

Where the transformation happens

With your skin properly prepped, you're ready for the professional peel applications. These are applied in-clinic and deliver active depigmenting agents directly into the skin. Each session builds on the last — most clients see meaningful improvement from the first peel, with full results after the complete program.

  • FDA-approved for Melasma, Sun Damage, Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation

  • Safe for all skin tones including deeper skin phototypes

  • 1-week review appointment after first peel

  • Aftercare products provided at each stage

YOUR HOMECARE

Meraki’s Day & Night System

Prescribed after your consultation, these two products do the heavy lifting between your clinic visits. Think of them as the foundation everything else is built on.

MORNING

Day Serum

A lightweight daily serum that actively works to lighten existing pigmentation while providing outdoor protection against UV-triggered melanin production. Applied every morning as part of your regular routine.

  • Depigmenting actives to fade dark patches

  • Built-in UV protection

  • Prevents new pigment from forming

  • Use from Day 1 of your homecare phase

EVENING

Night Cream

A richer, more intensive cream that works overnight to deepen the depigmentation process. Introduced after your first week of Day serum use, and continued throughout the program.

  • Intensive overnight depigmentation

  • Strengthens results from peels

  • Calms and hydrates post-peel skin

  • Start after 1 week of Day serum use

WHY HOMECARE COMES FIRST

The peel is powerful — but only when your skin is ready. The homecare phase sensitizes the melanocytes (the cells responsible for pigment) so the peel can penetrate more effectively. Without it, you won't get full results. That's why we require it — and why we include it in your first appointment.

*The homecare kit is prescribed at your consultation and included as part of your first treatment.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Good to Know

  • Yes — this is non-negotiable. The peels are medical-grade and not appropriate for every skin type or condition. The consultation lets us assess whether you're a good candidate and prescribe the right homecare protocol for your specific skin.

  • You can use the homecare products on their own, but to see significant results on melasma or deep pigmentation, the professional peel component is essential. The homecare preps the skin; the peel delivers the active treatment.

  • Some clients experience mild redness and flaking for a few days following each peel. It's manageable — most clients are comfortable going about their day. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect at your consultation.

  • Yes. Meline has specific formulations for ethnic skin types (ME LINE Ethnic), and the program is designed to be used safely across all Fitzpatrick skin types. We'll confirm the right version for your skin at your consultation.

  • The standard program includes 4 peels over approximately two months, spaced 3–4 weeks apart. Some clients see results faster; others may benefit from additional sessions. We'll give you a clear picture at your consultation.

  • Chemical peels exfoliate the top layers of skin, helping to reduce the appearance of dark spots and uneven skin tone caused by melasma and hyperpigmentation.

  • Many clients come to us after trying laser or other peels without lasting results. Meline works differently — it combines homecare sensitization with professional depigmentation, which tends to produce more stable, longer-lasting outcomes. We'd love to discuss your history at your consultation.

  • While they can improve existing pigmentation, ongoing sun protection and maintenance treatments are crucial to prevent recurrence.
